![]() Even popup font for right click on Windows start was affected. Whenever the PC was reboot, the first app run, would show normal menu font, then, the subsequent app launched (be it same or different) would yield microscopic menu fonts (I estimate it was half the font size compared to everything else). After which, the menu fonts appeared incredibly small.System operating fine all the way until WindCreators Update. What is even more weird was the thing that "fixed" it. ![]() Recently, we had a Surface Pro 3 exhibit some weird behavior with menu fonts (all other fonts were okay, only menu fonts). My recommendation would be to always try "System (enhanced)" first and fall back to "System" if that doesn't work. ![]() System (enhanced) - Only works with certain (GDI) programs but will scale programs whilst reducing the amount of blurring.System - Windows will stretch the UI, this will cause all text and graphics to become blurry.Application - The default setting, scale only if a program reports itself as not high DPI aware.Previously you needed to change a registry setting and use manifest files to resolve this - however in the latest version of Windows you can now right click on the executable, select properties and override the DPI setting: Unfortunately a number of programs incorrectly say "yes" (when they actually mean "no") and, as a result, end up being displayed extremely small. If a program says "yes", then Windows lets the program do the scaling. If a program says "no", then Windows handles the scaling to ensure that they aren't microscopic. When programs run, Windows says "hey, are you high DPI aware?". I’m getting to enjoy it more and more. One possible reason is because you're using a high DPI screen. By making the menu configurable, each user could include access to just the programs they use to help create content for whatever they’re writing in focuswriter Now, THAT would be an awesome addition.Īnd thanks for a great piece of software. And prevent opening lots of programs beforehand, “just in case”. Since the topbar doesn’t include the usual minimize/resize/close buttons on the right, would it be possible to add a configurable menu to the right end? That would allow opening programs after focuswriter is open without having to save the file, exit focuswriter, start the program, then restart focuswriter and reopen the file. There are several programs I use in finding content for my posts: my Chrome browser, eSword Bible program, Evernote for things I’ve saved there, plus some others less consistently. Although I have another request that might help take care of that. Evernote is something I use, so that’s more of a need. The theme thing is really more of a want than a need. Exactly what version of Ubuntu are you running (as specific as possible), and is it the 32-bit or 64-bit version? Basically anything that you can tell me about your setup would help me figure out what’s different than the one I have. I’m not sure yet what your closing problems are caused by, as I cannot recreate that on my computer. Did you use any of the previous versions of the program, and were they slow, or is it an issue with the latest To fix your sounds, you need to install libsdl-mixer1.2 through your package manager. FocusWriter doesn’t have any slow-down issues on my computer, so I’m not sure yet what’s causing yours to have problems. ![]() I can understand why the feature would be useful to some people, so it’s on my (somewhat lengthy) list of potential I’m always striving to improve the performance of my programs. I might add support at some point for ownCloud, which is made by KDE and therefor fully in line with both the GPL and my principles. I’m hesitant to add support for most of these services because I don’t like several aspects of their terms. The others may or may not work, I haven’t looked into them too closely. □Īs for cloud syncing, I cannot support Dropbox as the license is incompatible with the GPL. So, short answer is that I don’t know if it’ll get into the program or not. Kraski: I’ve thought about adding support for installing multiple themes at once, but haven’t yet seriously looked into how easy it would be to add.
